Beatrice G. Ambrose, age 96, of New Albany, Indiana died, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Lincoln Hills Health Care Center.  She was wife of the late Richard Cleve Ambrose.

Born July 7, 1920 In Midland, Maryland she was a daughter of the late James G. Sr., and Janet McKinley Muir.

Beatrice was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Gaithersburg, and was a past Matron of Pentalpha Chapter No. 38.  She was involved in scouting, and was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving her are a daughter Karen Rollin; two sons Richard A. Ambrose Sr., and James Ambrose; three sisters Lillian Gilbert, Janet Harding, and Hazel Fletcher; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son Cleve Gordon Ambrose; brothers: James Gordon Muir, Jr., and Robert Muir; sisters: Betty Hartz, Sis Yommer and Jean Orme; four grandchildren and two nieces.

Friends may call at the Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland on Thursday, January 12, from 10 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Tim May will officiate.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.
