Teresa Anna Sofia

Teresa Anna Sofia passed away peacefully at her home in Germantown, MD surrounded by loved ones on September 1st at the age of 88. Born on April 4th, 1934, in Cumberland, Maryland, Teresa Anna (Idoni) Sofia was the daughter of Domenico Maria Idoni and Maria Angela (Torchia) Idoni. She was the youngest of three children and was preceded in death by her husband Antonino (Tony) Sofia, her parents, and her two older brothers Nicholas Idoni Sr. and Frank Idoni Sr.

Teresa met her husband Tony, September 4th, 1955 and married two years later on September 2nd, 1957. Teresa and Tony raised their three children in Silver Spring, Maryland. Prior to her marriage, Teresa worked at C&P Telephone Company. She spent her life raising her three children and devoted her time spending it with her 11 grandchildren whenever she could.

Teresa is survived by her three children and their spouses Nino (Fran), Angela (Bill Buckley), Domenico (Jane), 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7 at Mother Seton Parish, 19951 Father Hurley Boulevard, Germantown, Maryland 20874. Interment will follow in All Souls Cemetery, in Germantown, Maryland.
