Shirley Bennett Obituary

Shirley Hazel Bennett passed away peacefully at Tranquility Assisted Living in Frederick, Maryland on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

Shirley was born April 2, 1935 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Earl and Edith White of Coleville, Pennsylvania.
Shirley graduated from Bellefonte High School and worked for and retired from Penn State University.

Shirley married Francis J. Bennett in August 1961, who also retired from Penn State University. They resided in State College until September of 2015 when they moved to Tranquility Assisted Living in Frederick, Maryland to be closer to their daughter.

Shirley is survived her husband Francis J. Bennett; her daughter, Debra C. Shaw and husband Wayne of Monrovia Maryland; their granddaughter Stephanie L. Cahalen and grandson Logan Cahalen Harry, both of Monrovia Maryland and a nephew Shane McKinley of Renovo, Pennsylvania.

There will be a private graveside service in Pennsylvania at a future date.
