Lan Crickman

Mrs. Lan Crickman, 70, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away at 3:00 A.M., January 20th at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.

A private visitation was held on Sunday, Jan 27th at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus, MD.

Funeral services will be held at 2:45 P.M. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at The Old Post Chapel of Fort Myers in Arlington, VA.  Burial will follow at The Arlington National Cemetery.

Cong Huyen Ton Nu Thi Phuong Lang was born on March 22, 1948 in Saigon, Vietnam to her late father, Buu Thieu, and late mother, Rose Vo Thi Phan.  She married Lt. Frederick P. Crickman on June 30, 1970.  She worked as a Graphic Designer for National Technology Transfer Center/Washington Operations for 25 years.  During her time at NTTC, she supported many projects including the Outreach Program for the Department of Defense’s Ballistic Missile Defense Organization.  During retirement she enjoyed spending her time gardening (she loved roses and orchids), reading, cooking (she made the best Vietnamese food), raising chickens, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; one son, Steven D. Crickman of Mt. Airy, MD and one daughter, Jennifer M. Topper (Jason) of Frederick, MD.  Her siblings, one sister, Cong Huyen Ton Nu Thi Phuong Anh of Tampa, FL; and three brothers, Vinh Phuc of New York, NY, Vinh Hanh and Vinh Dan of Lynchburg, VA.  Her loving grandchildren; Brett, Brea, Brenna, Justin, Reese, and Noah.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Vinh Quang, and sister, Cong Huyen Ton Nu Thi Phuong Liȇn and her beloved husband, Fred.
