James "Butch" Taylor Obituary

James Edward Taylor "Butch"

August 11, 1948- December 30, 2020

James E. Taylor, Butch to many, a longtime resident of Damascus, Maryland, passed away at his home on December 30, 2020; surrounded by his family and devoted dog, Katie.  Born on August 11, 1948, in Washington, D.C.; he was the eldest son of Byron R. Taylor and Goldie J. Taylor.  He graduated from High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland in 1966 before enlisting in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Ann Taylor, whom he met as a teenager and has been married to for 50 years, his daughters Michelle and Heather, grandchildren Allison, Grace, Nick and Ashley, great grandson Isaac, son-in-law David, sister Karen and brother Clark.

Anyone who knew Jim knew that his family was very important to him.  He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.  Jim will be sorely missed by his family. Jim was a very hard worker who took pride in everything he did and was deeply invested in the people that he worked with.  He enjoyed listening to music, playing pinball, pool and attending car shows with his wife, Kathy and their 1967 GTO.

Jim, Uncle Jimmy, Butch, Dad, Pop, will be forever be known for his generosity towards others, his ability to fix anything and everything and his humor and wit in most situations. He was truly a great man who meant so much to so many and will live on in our hearts forever.

Due to the current COVID Pandemic, there will be no visitation or viewing, burial and funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, Jim's wife, Kathy, has requested that donations in his name be made to Children's Hospital.

Online condolences may be shared with his family on our website, www.molesworthwilliams.com
