Cecelia J. Lowell

CECELIA JEAN LOWELL, age 56, died peacefully at the home of her sister Catherine on March 9, 2022, after a short illness.  Cecelia was profoundly developmentally disabled from birth but survived happily into adulthood under the loving care of her parents and sisters.   For the last 30+ years of her life she lived with her sister Margaret and family, backed up by sister Catherine and her family. 

 She was predeceased by her mother, Julia Lowell.  She is survived by her father, Joseph (Bill) Lowell; her six sisters: Mary Julia Bailey, Anne (Bill) Cairns, Catherine (Ted) Junghans, Margaret (Leszek) Syski, Elizabeth Walters, and Frances (Paul) Speight; and her stepmother, Veronica (Ronnie) Fellerath-Lowell.  Cece is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews, 39 grandnieces and grandnephews, and her loving caregiver Sara Leon.

A viewing will begin at 10am on Thursday, March 17, followed at 11am by a funeral Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9240 Damascus Road, Damascus, MD 20872.  Burial will be at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Crownsville, MD.
