Aymora F. Shivers

Aymora Faye Shivers, age 75, of Ijamsville, Md., left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father, Wednesday, June 28, 2023.  Faye had been cared for at the Klein House Hospice in Mount Airy, Md. She was the beloved wife of Donald L. Shivers, they had no children.

Faye was born June 17, 1948, in Norman, Oklahoma.  Her family then moved to Cabin John when she was five years old. Mrs. Shivers graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda Md. in 1966.  She attended Montgomery College and then went to work for IBM in Gaithersburg.  She retired from IBM after working there for many years.

She met the love of her life, Don, in the early sixties, and they were married on August 23, 1969.  They were married for nearly 54 years.  Faye and Don lived in the same home in Ijamsville for almost 50 years.

Faye was a very accomplished gardener.  She loved to garden and had many colorful gardens throughout her yard.  Her community loved to see her gardens as they walked past them.  She loved to share some of her cuttings and plant sprouts with her neighbors.

Besides her husband Don, Faye leaves behind her sister Sherrie Riggs, brother-in-law Tom Riggs, brother Thomas Kennedy, nieces:  Meredith Henning (Ben Henning), Amber Kennedy (Anthony Elischer), Heather Paz (Edgard) and nephew Keith Kennedy (Lindsay Echegoyen), her great- niece, her great-niece Taylor Paz and great-nephews Conner Hening, Tanner Henning and Avery Kennedy-Elischer.

Funeral services and inurnment will be held at a later time.
