Sochenda Sieu Bell, daughter of Hoc Sieu Sou and Limny Sen, passed away on July 12th 2017 at Casey house in Montgomery County Maryland. She is survived by her husband Robert Bell and two children Gary Bell and Eileen Hoops. Surviving family members include Nithya Sieu (brother), Amina Sou (step mom) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Sochenda was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and came to the United States in 1983 after spending several years in Thailand as a war refugee. She was employed at Asbury Nursing home for 26 years and leaves behind many dear brothers and sisters from her work family.

Sochenda was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in April of 2013 and has fought a tremendous fight against this disease for over 4 years. Her life has been a testimony to her selfless and giving nature and her ability to never give up on herself or anyone else.

The viewing will be at Molesworth Funeral Home (26401 Ridge Rd, Damascus, MD 20872) Friday the 21st of July. Visitation is between 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Derwood Alliance church (16501 Redland Rd, Derwood, MD 20855) on Saturday the 22nd of July at 11:00AM. Burial/internment will follow at All Souls Cemetery (11401 Brink Rd, Germantown, MD 20876) at 1.00pm.
