Mrs. Marion A. Johnson-Byers, 91, of Germantown, Maryland died Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Twice married she was the wife of the late John William Johnson and the late Gerald Lynn Byers.

Born August 11, 1925 in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Dorothy Paulhamous Orso.

Marion was a proud civil servant retiring as a medical secretary from National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda.  She was very active as an avid animal rights advocate.

Surviving her are three loving daughters:  Dottie Brown and husband Tom; Nita Johnson-Reed and Joyce Williams.  Nine grandchildren:  Sandi Gjerpen, Teri Gladhill, Cathy Wilkinson, Robie Brown, Tobi Burriss Nisula, Michael Burriss, Johathan McCarroll, Elaine Stine, John Williams and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son John William Johnson, Jr.

Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 19 at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Providence Methodist Cemetery, Kemptown, Maryland.
