Kathryn Anne Stubbs Mullinix, of Germantown Maryland, died on Saturday, February 18th, 2017. She was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband David R. Mullinix and her sister Stella Cunningham.

Kathryn played the piano from a young age, a passion that continued throughout her life and brought joy to those around her. She loved the arts and wrote poems, published a children’s book (Fred and the Goosecapades), made pottery, and painted pictures. Kathryn traveled the world and visited the home of Beethoven, her kindred spirit. She loved to talk on the phone, always told the best stories, and could give you directions from Maryland to Pennsylvania and everywhere in between. Kathryn’s love knew no limits and she always made sure that everyone around her was well taken care of.

Kathryn is lovingly remembered by her four children, Stephanie Dugan, Michael Dugan, Greg Dugan, Erin Willis, Six Grandchildren Amy Richardson, Jesse Thoresen, Melissa Thoresen, Emily Thoresen, Taylor Willis, Trey Willis, two great grandchildren Russell Thoresen and Reid Richardson, Son in law Terry Willis, Daughter in law Julie Dugan, Two sisters Joyce Edmonston and Phyllis Nuckols, Brother in law Bill Nuckols, three nieces, and seven nephews.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21 at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michael’s Rd., Mount. Airy Md. 21771. Reverend Michael Ruane will officiate. Interment will follow in Howard Chapel Cemetery, Long Corner Road, Mount Airy.
