Please accept my sincerest condolences on Gene's passing. I was, for many years, a teacher at Baker Intermediate School in Damascus. With memory issues increasing as I gently age, I can't be sure if Gene was a student of mine. I don't think he was, but I do remember Amy as a student--and a good student at that. Reading the beautifully written obituary made me wish I had known this good man. Any friend of family, flowers, reading, eggnog, and the Three Stooges would surely have been a friend of mine. I have no doubt he will be deeply missed. A prior family commitment of my own will keep me from attending the gathering of family and friends this Sunday, but please know that my prayers and affection will continue for the entire Yoho family.
