Fernando Cesto Ymbert Sr. “Frank”, age 78, died peacefully at home on Sunday afternoon March 12, 2017 surrounded by his family. Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Sandra Jean Ymbert, three children: Anita Ymbert (Michael), Brenda Tubbs (Patrick), Fernando Ymbert Jr."Frank" (Kathy). He also leaves behind six grandchildren and one great grandchild: April Ymbert (Michael), Reilly Burrus (Paul), Casey Ymbert (Morgan) and great grandchild Rowan, Lauren Clark (Anthony), Sydney Tubbs, and Ryan Tubbs (Gamze). Mr. Ymbert is survived by two siblings and two in laws: his sister Grace Hernandez, his brother Danny Ledesma (Anna), his sister in law Ruth Ymbert (Carlos) and Eufrasina Ymbert (Gilbert) of Corpus Christi, TX.  He is preceded in death by his parents Eliodoro and Frances Ymbert, his brothers Rev. Carlos L. Ymbert, and Gilbert L. Ymbert, his sister Mary Frances “Bea” Lopez (Tudy) and his brother in law Ruben Hernandez. He also leaves behind many loving and caring nieces and nephews.After the early death of his father, Frank took pride in helping to provide for his family along with his siblings. Frank served in the United States Army as Private First Class (T) E3 and received the Apprentice Oozlefinchling certificate by The Antiaircraft Artillery and Guided Missile Center in Fort Bliss, Texas. He also received honors and was certified in Military Justice Training by Battery A, 602nd AAA Missle Battalion , in Granite MD. He was then based at Fort Meade in Baltimore, MD. It was here that he met and married the love of his life. Following his service to our country, Frank worked in construction as a superintendent and project manager and helping to build some of the most prominent buildings in the Corpus Christi, TX, Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area that still exist today. Fernando, Sr. was born March 28, 1938.  He was the third born of Eliodoro and Frances Ymbert. Along with his strong faith for the Lord and love his family, Frank also enjoyed coaching sports, where he won several coach of the year awards for football and baseball. He also enjoyed golf, landscaping, collectibles, music, boxing and playing with his beloved dog, Jesse. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Damascus, Maryland and deeply cared for his fellow parishioners. He was blessing and a inspiration to those who were lucky enough to share his life with and will continue to be throughout the rest their lives. We will have lasting memories of  a man who was dedicated to working very hard for his family, his strong will, a humble heart. Frank also had a wonderful smile,  a sense of humor, and the ability to light up a room. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at JSSA Hospice, and his caregivers: Marleny, Chaturika, Margaret and Linda.

A celebration to honor his wonderful life will be held Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 6:p.m. to 8: p.m. with a memorial service at 7:p.m. at  Molesworth - Williams Funeral Home located at 26401 Ridge Road Damascus, Md. 20872 in Damascus, MD. Rev.  David Cooney will officiate. Inurnment will follow 2: p.m. Wednesday June 21, at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium. Please arrive at the administration building by 1:15 p.m.
