Dennis L. Mullinix

Dennis Leon Mullinix, age 65, of Mount Airy, MD, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at his home.

Born on August 3, 1952, in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late W. Leon Mullinix and Lois L Mullinix of Mount Airy. Dennis was a graduate of South Carroll High School in 1970, and Catonsville Community College, Baltimore, MD in 1973, with an AA degree in Electronics Technology. He Specialized in RF/Microwave Engineering technology. He was presently employed at KBRWyle in Columbia, MD as an Associate Engineer II. During his career life he worked for several companies, COMSAT Corporation, Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications, Thales Communications, Inc. USA; all in Clarksburg, MD and Antenna Research Associates, Beltsville, MD.

He is survived by a sister, Darlene M Wheeler and her husband, Myles Wheeler of Monrovia, MD. Also ,his nieces and nephew, Mary E. Wheeler of Colorado Springs, CO; Rebecca A Regnier (Scott) and Kirk T Wheeler of Monrovia, MD.

Dennis was a member of Howard Chapel United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, Photography, Nascar races, and a fan of football. He also enjoyed attending Amateur Radio Hamfest Events.

Service will be held on Friday, Feb 16, at Molesworth-Williams P.A. Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. Service will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be following service at Howard Chapel Cemetery, 1970 Long Corner Rd. Mt. Airy, MD.
