Bill Arthur Allen, age 82, of Clarksburg, MD passed away in the early hours of August 12, 2017 after a relatively short illness. 

He was the husband of Darlene Allen., his wife of 55 years.

 Born August 3, 1935 in Evanston, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Gordon and Eathal Wallace Allen.  

 Surviving are his son, Anthony Allen and wife Traci Allen, beloved grandchildren; Alexa Curtis and Michael Allen, and son in law Jim Kasper.  He also leaves behind a brother, Frank Allen and wife Heidi Allen.

Bill is preceded in death by his daughter Carol Kasper.

Bill graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Bill was also a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He met his future wife, Darlene, at Geico and later spent the majority of his life working at Comsat as a satellite engineering technician where he retired.  In addition to spending time with his family, he also enjoyed spending many in hours in “the shop”.  He was a Blacksmith and belonged to the Blacksmith Guild.

Bill was a devout Christian and was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Cedar Grove, MD.  

The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Molesworth -Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 22, at Christ Lutheran Church, corner of Maryland Route 27 and Davis Mill Road, Cedar Grove, MD.   Pastor Irvin Stapf will officiate.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100N, Bethesda, MD 20814.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.molesworthwilliams.com
