Thomas Leslie Woodfield, also known as Tucky, left to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 19th, 2017.  Born June 20, 1939 in Damascus, MD, Tucky was 78 years old.  He resided both in Clarksburg, MD and Cape Coral, FL. Tucky was a 1957 graduate of Damascus High School.

He was the husband of Eloise Haney Woodfield for over 60 years. Tucky was the son of the late Thomas D. Woodfield and Sarah Jane King Woodfield.  Preceding him in death was a brother, Robert Woodfield and a sister, June Marie Jordan.

Surviving are his wife, Eloise Woodfield, and their children, a daughter, Alethia (Mike) Watkins and a grandson, Ryan, of Damascus, Maryland; Tarra (Bobby) Hilton and a grandson, Greg of Clarksburg, Maryland. A granddaughter, Kelsey (Larry) Ryba of Frederick, Maryland.  A sister, Jackie Grantham and a sister-in-law, Catherine Woodfield and many nieces and nephews.

As a teenager, Tucky worked at the family business, known as the Damascus Electric Co. in town.  He started working at the Naval Gun Factory until he was employed by IBM as a Sr. Customer Engineer, where he retired after 30 years of service.

After retirement, he worked with his wife on the family farm running a horse boarding business, raising hay, and showing Jersey and Hereford cattle at local, state and national fairs.  Both he and Eloise were involved in numerous community activities.  Tucky served as President of the Damascus Lion’s Club and President of the Damascus Community Fair.  He was currently the Vice President of the Clarksburg Historical Society Inc. and the Damascus Community Fair Historian.  He was also a Life-time member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair and volunteered in the dairy department and 4-H building.

Tucky was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his wife and daughters and grandchildren.  He enjoyed being a granddaddy to his 3 grandchildren and attending their many activities as they grew up. Tucky was an avid collector of history memorabilia and also researched his family tree.  He set up history displays at many local events.  He looked forward to riding his bike at their Florida home and watching the wildlife visitors in their yard during the winter months.  Another passion was working in his yard, planting flowers and relaxing while watching the beautiful sunsets both In Maryland and in Florida at the end of the day.

Friends may call on January 8th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. for viewing. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on January 9th both at the Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus, Md. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
