Roger W. Watkins, 71, of Damascus, Maryland, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Holy Cross Hospital, Germantown.  He was the husband of Barbara J. Watkins.

Born September 3, 1946 in Frederick, Maryland he was a son of the late Irvin B. and Mildred V. Watkins.

Roger was a graduate of Damascus High School.  He

worked as a brick mason, a farmer on the family farm, and he and his wife were sellers at the Montgomery Farm Woman’s Market in Bethesda.

Surviving besides his wife Barbara, are his son Larry W. Watkins, grandson Jake Watkins, and two foster sisters Kitty Vogan and Toodle Shipley.

Friends may call 3-5 & 7-8 p.m. Sunday, November 19, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872.  Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions in Roger’s name to the American Cancer Society.
