Downey Monroe Duvall

Mr. Downey Monroe Duvall, 96, of Damascus, Maryland went peacefully to be with the Lord, at his home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.  He was the husband of the late Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy", Duvall, who preceded him in death January 8, 2007. They were married for 60 years.

 Born August 25, 1921, in Damascus, he was a son of the late Downey W. and Ethel B. Duvall. 
 
 Known by his friends and family as "Monroe" or "Pappy", he was born and raised on his family's farm in Damascus where he resided his entire life. 
 
 Surviving are three children, Joan Duvall, Jim Duvall and Donna Duvall, all of Damascus; five  grandchildren, Jason Collins, Steven Hoverter and Jessica Hoverter, all of Damascus, and Jennifer Savage and Cindi Savage, both of Mims, FL. Also surviving are seven great
grandchildren, five of whom are local, Caleb, Noelle and Lincoln Collins, Mason Berman and LeAnna Hoverter. 
 
 Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus 20872. Interment will be private.
